Overview #

A full featured solution that allows you to search and import UK company data into Bigins company module. The topping connects in realtime to the Companies House database allowing you to import company information.

Search by company name, officer name or company number and select a company for import. On import a new entry in the companies module will be created as well as corresponding contacts will be created in the contacts module. Key company and officer data fields will be imported.

Key Features #

Bigins default address fields will be used (if not already present, the topping will add these fields on installation).

A new custom ‘Company Reg Number’ field is created, company registration numbers will be inserted here on import.

Bigins default company number field is not used at present due to the way Bigin has formatted the default company number in ‘numerical format’.

On import upto 40+ data points across company information, officer information and charges information will be imported into Bigin company and contact modules.

Connected records will be created for officer information from the Company module.

Tags – tags will be created for company filing dates that are overdue

Syncing Data #

Keep records up to date with the record sync function available from the company records screen. (only a single company can be synced at any one time at present)

Existing Records #

Existing company records – the company reg number is used as the key field, since this is a new custom field – pre existing records in Bigin will not be updated, unless a new import is performed.

Search Types #

Typically an initial search query can be conducted using a company name, company number or officer name (partial searches are also acceptable)

Dependent on search (partial or exact match) a single or number of searches will be returned. By selecting a single company, company information can be viewed and imported using the import button.

For batch imports, at present up to 10 companies can be imported simultaneously.

Filters #

Power filters can filters can be used to query a large dataset. A ‘chaining’ search can be used by combining multiple filters to query and import a select group of data.
